A sneak preview of next weeks episode of Wonders. I know I’ll be outside with my camera really soon. Simply mindblowing to try to imagine the scale and time it takes for the light to reach us from Andromeda never mind a far away galaxy. Gazing upwards into the stars is a simply humbling experience. One day I hope we can reach it but that day is far beyond my lifetime.
This pretty cool project by an international effort has created a simulation of a human trip to Mars. They finally made it to the red planet.
The Sagan Series, I suggest you watch in 720p if you can. The visuals just enhance Sagan’s already awe inspiring words.
This is another great show from Charlie Brooker which I definitely recommend you check out.
This is an amazing video which shows 1236 exoplanet candidates as observed by Kepler in relation to our own solar system.
Fantastic.
The Symphony of Science is a fantastic little project by John Boswell which delivers scientific knowledge from the mouths of great scientists such as: Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, Brian Cox, Stephen Hawking, Robert Zubrin, Bill Nye [The Science Guy] and many more.
I definitely recommend a listen. Check out the youtube channel here:
A very exciting lecture from Brian Cox with inserts from Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman about the way the media portrays science and how we should cover science in the news and other media.
